Description- To qualify for a Full-Time intern position you must be currently enrolled in school or have graduated within the last year.

- This position requires you to be on-site at both the FamilySearch Library (Salt Lake City) and the Headquarters Storage Building (West Valley).

Responsibilities- Prepare collection items to be scanned by updating/correcting the catalog assessing copyright status cutting spine etc.
- Assist in overseeing the scanning center operation at the FamilySearch Library
- Assist in overseeing and training missionaries
- Process books from storage (check catalog make corrections determine next steps)
- Work closely with members of the team to collaborate on a variety of assignments
- Create and communicate clear metric and reporting measures
- Regular meetings with several teams across the department
- Understand maintain and create best practices for the book scanning operation workflow
- Additional responsibilities may include correcting cataloging errors removal and shifting of collection supervise and train missionaries create training material coordinate projects and other assignments as needed
QualificationsProficiency in office/clerical and library functions normally developed through at least 2 years of post-high school experience as a clerk/secretary or librarian. Preferred: Completed or currently enrolled in a MLS/MLIS program or the equivalent combination of experience and training.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create and cultivate working relationships with individuals across many teams.
Advanced personal computer skills and demonstrated advanced proficiency with word processing spreadsheet and database applications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
Be self-directed on assignments and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the work.
Ability to set priorities.
Knowledge of a Library catalog system preferred.
