About the role
The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and subject specialism. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that guide students through the full design process from research and concept development to prototyping and final production.
The role will involve:
Teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
Delivering engaging lessons that develop creativity technical skills and problem-solving
Preparing students for GCSE Design & Technology examinations
Supporting coursework and project-based learning
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Encouraging participation in design competitions STEM activities and enrichment opportunities
Maintaining high standards of health and safety within practical workshop environments
You will be joining a supportive and collaborative department where teachers work closely together to share ideas and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
Ability to teach DT across KS3 and KS4
