As a Security Guard - Flex - Warehouse Centerin University Park IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors drivers and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific access control policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials maintaining accurate logs and directing visitors and deliveries to designated areas.
- Screen inbound and outbound traffic including trucks and trailers by confirming appointments reviewing shipping documents and coordinating with site contacts to support orderly dock and yard operations.
- Monitor alarms cameras and access control systems reporting irregular activity and/or maintenance issues according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including supporting emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
