Responsibilities:
The Windows Server Administrator will provide advanced operational and technical support for an enterprise Windows Server environment. This role will perform day-to-day server administration security remediation automation and lifecycle management activities across development test and production environments. Responsibilities include administering and maintaining enterprise Windows Server environments across physical and virtual infrastructure; supporting SCCM/MECM operations such as operating system deployments patching software distribution and configuration compliance; performing vulnerability remediation activities including patching system hardening and validation; administering Active Directory services including user and group management Group Policy DNS and organizational unit structures within a large enterprise environment; developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and operational workflows; managing internal PKI and external/public certificate processes including certificate requests renewals installation and troubleshooting; participating in formal change management processes including documentation impact analysis implementation and validation; troubleshooting complex server authentication certificate and configuration issues; adhering to enterprise standards security requirements and operational procedures; and collaborating with infrastructure application and security teams to support enterprise operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience administering Windows Server environments in a large enterprise or government organization
- 5 years of hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM including operating system deployments patch management and software distribution
- 5 years of experience administering Active Directory in a multi-domain or enterprise-scale environment
- Strong experience with vulnerability remediation and security patching in regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
- Previous experience managing internal PKI and external/public certificates
- Experience operating within formal change management processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving experience within enterprise server environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 in highly available enterprise environments
- Previous experience working in government or large public-sector organizations
- Knowledge of ITIL or ITSM frameworks and operational best practices
- Experience supporting hybrid or cloud-integrated environments such as Azure-connected services
- Knowledge of enterprise security standards and audit requirements
- Relevant Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server SCCM Azure or security technologies
