Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Azure Hybrid Cloud Networking BGP Routing Palo Alto PAN-OS Terraform)
Location: Albany NY - (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
- Manage and lead the orchestration of multi-discipline technologies to resolve complex infrastructure and network problems while communicating with technology and business leaders to recommend system enhancements
- Provide 24x7x365 on-call network support for advanced troubleshooting escalation management and incident ticket resolution on a rotating schedule
- Design deploy and maintain cloud networking infrastructure across Azure AWS and GCP supporting enterprise application deployments
- Design deploy and manage network virtual appliances including Arista CloudEOS and Palo Alto PAN-OS integrated with cloud service provider networking (AWS TGW Connect GCP NCC etc.)
- Design and implement on-premises to cloud connectivity solutions including hybrid connectivity architecture in collaboration with security and enterprise architecture teams
- Support application teams by ensuring network connectivity design complies with enterprise information security standards
- Collaborate with direct cloud connectivity providers to troubleshoot connectivity issues and develop resilient networking solutions
- Assist in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) cloud configuration and deployment automation using Terraform
- Perform in-depth network performance monitoring and analysis using tools such as Zenoss Splunk Palo Alto Panorama Arista Cloud Vision as a Service NfSen Ixia Gigastor and Wireshark
- Ensure high availability of cloud networking environments by overseeing change control processes upgrades installations network monitoring and troubleshooting
- Monitor and optimize network availability and performance across hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Participate in capacity planning performance tuning and operational training initiatives
- Document architecture network design and implementations using Microsoft Visio
- Participate in knowledge transfer and mentoring sessions with junior engineering staff
- Support occasional travel requirements when necessary
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Azure networking including VNets subnets NSGs route tables Virtual Network Gateways Site-to-Site VPN ExpressRoute Direct load balancers logging monitoring alerting and troubleshooting
- Strong experience designing and supporting Hybrid Azure connectivity architectures
- Advanced knowledge of Layer 3 routing technologies including BGP VRFs route maps route redistribution NAT and IP subnetting
- Strong hands-on expertise with Palo Alto PAN-OS including security policies NAT policies zones routing tunnels upgrades logging and monitoring
- Working knowledge of cloud application networking requirements including Kubernetes platforms and serverless environments
- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation using Terraform for cloud deployments and backup configuration management
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking including VPCs subnets security groups route tables Virtual Private Gateways Transit Gateway Cloud WAN Site-to-Site VPN Direct Connect NACLs load balancers peering logging and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of GCP networking including VPCs firewall rules VPC routing Network Connectivity Center Cloud Router Cloud VPN Cloud Interconnect Cloud NAT load balancers and private service connections
- Experience with network monitoring packet capture and traffic analysis tools such as Zenoss Splunk Palo Alto Panorama Arista Cloud Vision NfSen Ixia Gigastor and Wireshark
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for technical architecture documentation
- Strong understanding of DNS architecture including split-brain public/private resolution designs
