Project Overview

The Client is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Full Stack Java Angular Developer to support a major healthcare initiative that delivers health coverage to more than 4.5 million New Yorkers through the Health Benefit Exchange (HBE).

The developer will contribute to the design development testing and maintenance of enterprise web applications. The role focuses heavily on front-end development using Angular and Java technologies while also supporting full-stack development activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Java/J2EE enterprise applications using relational databases.
Participate in the entire software development lifecycle including design coding documentation testing and deployment.
Build and enhance front-end applications using Angular and Java technologies.
Implement UI/UX designs by coding interactive user interface components.
Create user-friendly web pages using HTML and markup technologies.
Maintain and enhance existing websites and applications.
Optimize applications to ensure performance scalability and speed.
Work closely with backend developers and UI/UX designers to improve usability and functionality.
Maintain consistent graphic standards and branding across applications.
Develop reusable code libraries and components for future use.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to team development efforts.
Stay current with emerging technologies and development best practices.
Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field.
2 4 years of development experience with strong knowledge of Core Java concepts including:
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Java Collections API
- Exception Handling
- Multithreading
Solid understanding of J2EE concepts architecture and technologies.
Experience developing large-scale enterprise applications.
2 years of hands-on experience with the Spring Framework.
2 years of hands-on experience with Angular Framework.
Ability to write simple and complex SQL queries preferably using DB2 or other relational databases including PL/SQL.
Experience writing and executing JUnit test cases and debugging Java/J2EE applications.
Front-end development experience using HTML5 CSS JavaScript and TypeScript.
