Job Summary

Role: firmware design engineer

Location: milwauke Wisconsin

bs degree in electronics / electrical with 5 years experience

experience in c and firmware development

experience in working with multi core processor industrial automation protocols and proficiency in python to script / automation and test

embedded systems / microcontrollers and realtime operating systems writing and maintaining system and functional test cases with automated testing tools

experience in industrial automation and sensing devices ladder programming rtos and in functional safety prefered

design and develop firmware industrial components safety devices and sensing products (plcs / io / redundant / safety devices)

design and develop unit / functional test for product code

implement comm protocols and bug report / verification

work with hardware engineers to ensure integration of firmware with automation products

optimize code to performance / reliability and compliance

support debugging and issue resolution
