Job Summary

Java Backend Engineer Java Spring Boot - Hybrid - 67739

A global retail technology organization is seeking two experienced Java Backend Engineers to join a high-performing engineering team building enterprise-scale retail and insurance platforms. This is a hands-on development role focused on designing and developing scalable backend systems and microservices architectures.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Java Spring Boot event-driven architectures and distributed systems along with the ability to build highly reliable backend services used in large-scale enterprise environments.

Must Have Skills:

Enterprise Java development experience
Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
Experience working with Kafka or event-driven architectures
Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP)
Experience writing unit tests using JUnit
Strong backend architecture and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and maintain microservices-based architectures
Develop and support event-driven systems using Kafka
Write optimized queries and manage data using SQL and NoSQL databases
Deploy and manage applications within containerized and cloud environments
Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit to ensure code quality
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Participate in technical design discussions code reviews and architecture planning
Ensure systems are scalable reliable and high-performing
