Job Description
As a Security Officer - Contractor Entry Driver in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government facility you will support access control by greeting staff and visitors verifying credentials managing sign-ins and monitoring cameras and alarms to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly document activity and collaborate with site teams while reflecting our agile reliable and innovative approach a caring culture and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities as needed.
- Manage access control at a government location by verifying identification processing sign-in and/or sign-out issuing visitor credentials and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate area.
- Monitor entry points and controlled areas through observation and use of approved systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting events and coordinating with onsite staff and/or local responders.
- Complete required reports and logs communicate shift activity to the next officer and support order and accountability within the facility by enforcing posted rules and site directives.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- COLA: DPSS/DHS Tuberculosis test/MMR vaccinations are required.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
