Position Summary: Reclaim Associate

In this role as a Salvage Associate you will be responsible for efficiently and safely moving and maintaining all salvage material. Being a motivated self-starter and team member you will also maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of all fleet trailers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process and sort inventory coming from retail locations through a workstation
Support movement of boxes and totes throughout work area
Help to maintain an organized and clearly defined work area

Move pallets and materials
Potential to support unloading and loading of trailers to support inbound and outbound

Work with leads to address inventory concerns/defects
Label and organize boxes

Potential use of pallet jacks or electric pallet jacks
Follow proper sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or center that will maximize efficiency productivity and reduce costsEnsure compliance with Delhaize America standards in the areas of accuracy safety and productivity
Able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications

Able to reach stoop bend and lift up to 60 lbs.
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures concrete floors powered industrial trucks)

Preferred Qualifications
High School Education
Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicableFamiliarity/experience in a distribution environment
Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail

Skills and Abilities
Excellent customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to meet production standards set by the company
Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
Able to use a personal computer for data entry and research purposes
Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
