QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Valid Arkansas license in Speech and Language Pathology
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education
JOB GOALS: To help reduce or eliminate speech impediments that interfere with the individual students ability to derive full benefit from the districts educational program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and diagnose communication disorders according to state and federal special education guidelines.
- Participate in evaluation conferences.
- Implement an individual education plan for assigned students.
- Cooperate with teachers and parents by providing information discussing appropriate goals and offering any other assistance.
- Monitor and conduct ongoing evaluation of student progress.
- Participate in parent conferences to review students progress.
- Conduct a conference when additional changes or discontinuance of a special program is indicated.
- Cooperate in the districts inservice training program.
- Maintain special education due process/work files.
- Document progress of students and maintain information needed for Medicaid billing.
- Know Board of Education policies Desegregation Plan district and school guidelines and regulations and adhere to the same.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Range 11 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($293.46/day $430.68/day depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 187 contract days
FLSA Status: Exempt
Personnel Status: Classified
Benefits Eligible: Yes

Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Support Staff Personnel.
