Summary:This Corporate Accounting positionleadsthe domestic accounting teamand is also responsible for theglobal consolidation process. This role iscritical toensuringaccurate and timely financial reportingin accordance with US GAAP.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in technical accounting consolidation and operational finance along with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.Key responsibilities includeleading the domestic accounting team ensuring timely and accurate financial close and reporting; managing the global consolidations process including foreign currency translation intercompany eliminations and equity accounting for joint ventures and minority interests;leading the domestic cost accounting function;overseeingthe domestic fixed assetactivityand lease processes;managingthe global capital request process and domestic cash reconciliation activities; preparing reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations across multiple accounting areas; preparingmonthly quarterly and annualfinancial reports for internal and external stakeholders including tax financial reportingand executive management; ensuring compliance with internal controls andtesting for control effectiveness;andsupporting external and internal audits providing documentation and analysis as needed.This position will take a lead in managing projects related to acquisitions divestitures and Information Technology implementation. Additional job duties will include working on cross-functional teamscreating ad-hoc financial reportingresearching US GAAP and providing guidance on appropriateapplicationpresenting financial resultsreview of other financial schedulesand oversight or assistance with other projects as needed.This position willalsocollaborateinternational financial teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data.In addition this position is responsible for mentoring and developing a team of1-3 direct reports.
Requirements:Education: Bachelor s degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
Experience:7 plus years ofprogressive accountingexperience
Communication Skills:Excellent written presentation and verbal communication skills.
Computer Skills:Working knowledge of SAP and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Experience with BPC Consolidations software preferred.
Special Skills:Certified Public Accountant preferred. Strong leadership skills are crucial to this position. A good working knowledge of and ability to research GAAP accounting standards is necessary.
Supervisory:Supervises approximately 1 to 3 direct reports.
Travel:1 to 5 domestic and or international trips per year.
