Job Description
About the Department/Team:
The Investment Compliance team is a department with a global function responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory prospectus client-directed and internal investment and operational restrictions. This position will be on the Americas investment compliance team primarily supporting Invesco Fixed Income.
About the Role:
The Compliance Officer utilizes technical and subject matter expertise experience and judgment to complete assigned responsibilities and ensures adequate procedures and controls are established and followed in order to minimize financial and reputational risk; identifies communicates and escalates issues that present risk.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Review and resolve pre-trade compliance exceptions within Aladdin OMS promptly providing subject matter expertise and communicating critical information to investment and trading teams.
Investigate and validate overnight alerts from offshore teams ensuring accurate breach logging classification reporting and escalation.
Analyze client IMA and regulatory investment restrictions for new mandates and portfolio changes; prepare and review coding requests with offshore teams and provide final rule sign-off.
Collaborate with Product and Legal teams to ensure robust compliance controls for new fund launches ETFs and client mandates by reviewing and providing feedback on investment restriction language.
Act as a primary compliance partner to Fixed Income leveraging Aladdin data and analytics to deliver timely accurate compliance outputs and support firm-wide initiatives.
Proactively review strategies and regulatory developments identify process improvements within Aladdin workflows lead cross-functional projects and communicate complex compliance concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Requirements for the Role:
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in asset management or related financial services.
Knowledge of domestic and international securities laws (e.g. 1940 Act UCITS Framework 81-102).
Experience with trading/compliance systems such as Aladdin and Charles River preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make critical time-sensitive decisions.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Customer service oriented with a consultative approach to collaborating with peers and business partners.
