The Position:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at a nonprofit behavioral health organization. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in overseeing financial operations ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position supports budgeting forecasting financial analysis and internal controls while collaborating with leadership and external auditors to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $70000 Depending on Experience

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or Related Field
- Minimum of 5 Years of Professional Accounting Experience
- Strong Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent Analytical Organizational and Communication Skills
- Must Be 21 Years of Age
- Valid Florida Drivers License with Acceptable Driving Record
- Reliable Vehicle with Valid Registration and Insurance
Responsibilities:
- 40 Hour Work Week (Monday-Friday) Onsite
- Prepare Monthly Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements and Reports
- Manage General Ledger Activities Including Journal Entries Reconciliations and Account Analysis
- Assist with Budgeting Forecasting and Financial Planning Activities
- Coordinate Internal and External Audit Processes
- Monitor and Improve Accounting Processes and Internal Controls
- Collaborating with Departments to Resolve Accounting Discrepancies
- Ensure Timely and Accurate Tax Filings and Compliance with Federal State and Local Regulations
- Perform Benefit Reconciliation
- Lead Payroll Processing
- Monitor and Support Various Funding Contracts and Financial Data
Requirements:
