Job Summary



GFL is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Process Analyst to join our Ontario Liquid this role you will be a key driver in optimizing business processes ensuring operational efficiency and facilitating continuous improvement across the organization.

As a vital member of Team Green you will provide critical support for GFLs operating systems and overseeing end-to-end order-to-cash processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment possesses a professional demeanor and excels at bridging the gap between technical system requirements and regional operational needs.

Job Duties

  • Process Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and resolve system inconsistencies. By maintaining high data integrity and providing meaningful reporting to leadership you will help drive the overall efficiency of our Ontario operations.
  • Systems Integration: Lead the integration and training of GFLs systems for newly acquired businesses.
  • Data Strategy: Conduct pre-integration data analysis and manage data entry to ensure a seamless Go Live transition.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the System Development group and Operations teams to translate frontline business needs into functional system enhancements.
  • Training & Development: Design and deliver technical training for new and existing users ensuring high levels of system competency at the operational level.
  • Operational Support: Provide ongoing high-level troubleshooting and functional support to system users across the Ontario region.
  • Travel: Ability to travel within Ontario (up to 30-50%) to various GFL facilities as required.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in business administration process analysis or a related operational role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer literacy with the ability to manage large datasets and navigate complex ERP/Management systems; expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in hazardous waste management or experience with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) is a significant asset.
  • Regulatory Insight: Familiarity with technical and regulatory requirements within the environmental services industry is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical processes to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple high- priority tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Must possess a valid G Drivers License and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
