Job Description
As a Security Officer Flex Patrol Security Clearance in Herndon VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aero and defense location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support access and visitor activity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or contractors by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and/or requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner documenting actions taken per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings production areas parking areas and the perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by assignment.
- Monitor access points and assist with access control activities such as checking identification managing visitor entry processes and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas.
- Complete required reports and logs communicate unusual activity to site contacts and help to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage through consistent presence and observation of security-related conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
