General Notes

We are hiring a full-time Social Science/Humanities Research Associate I in the department of Psychology. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail; show proficiency in managing multiple tasks and working both independently as well as with a team. The Social Science/Humanities Research Associate I will be provided with training in clinical assessments and will gain experience in general research administration and the preparation of publications and conference presentations. This position is well-suited for individuals interested in pursuing graduate study in clinical psychology. Please contact Drs. Purpose

The positions support clinical trials funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) and are overseen by Drs.Richard Brown and Jasper Smits. Responsibilities

  • Coordinating recruitment efforts for ongoing clinical trials
  • Organizing and overseeing data collection and study protocols
  • Conducting clinical interviews and assessments
  • Maintaining and revising IRB protocols and assisting with research compliance reports and procedures
  • Management cleaning and preparation of data collected via online survey platforms
  • Supervision of undergraduate students conducting data entry and other tasks
  • Interfacing with research and clinical staff to maintain effective communication regarding participant scheduling data management and quality control.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Psychology or a related field. Prior research experience (including experience as a student).

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior research experience in a psychology lab. Previous experience with data management and use of software programs for statistical analysis.

Salary Range

$40000
