Job Summary
This lead mammography tech is responsible for the daily clinical and administrative operations of the mammography department assisting in the delivery of personalized professional and quality patient care internal and external customer service performance of all Mammography examinations transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services preparation of all departmental paperwork answering the departments telephone scheduling of patients entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized Mammography procedure to the patient and/or family member in a thorough and professional Mammography procedures ascertaining appropriate imaging parameters (MAS KVP positioning etc.) are utilized providing physician with a quality diagnostic education on an as needed basis to new and existing clinical team membersManages clinical team members on a daily basis ensuring compliance with company policies guidelines and quality control on equipment ascertaining compliance with regulations. Notifies management immediately of any potential malfunction or hazard of all documentation supporting the quality control program and regulatory as a point of contact for physician offices requiring clinical information and responds to requests within 24 an open line of communication with the dictating radiologist to ensure department images are constantly evaluated and supplies for the division ensuring that patient care is not and maintains department paperwork verifying accuracy of information.
