As a Test Engineer you will join the team in Luton to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
You will support the planning organisation and execution of development and qualification testing activities for electrical power and propulsion systems. Working within a laboratory and engineering test environment you will help deliver verification and validation programmes while producing high-quality technical documentation to demonstrate product compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver development and qualification test activities in support of engineering programmes
- Prepare and execute test setups including instrumentation test rigs and data acquisition systems
- Produce technical documentation including Test Plans Test Procedures and Test Reports
- Support Verification & Validation teams in defining and executing appropriate compliance methods
- Coordinate testing activities with cross-functional teams including Design R&D Manufacturing and Quality
- Support the efficient use of test facilities equipment and laboratory resources
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test facilities rigs processes and ways of working
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Experience supporting development or qualification testing within engineering environments
- Hands-on experience working with test equipment instrumentation and data acquisition systems
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into structured test activities
- Experience producing technical documentation for verification or qualification testing
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing activities
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum 35 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent hands-on experience within engineering test environments
Desirable Skills:
- Experience testing electrical power systems or propulsion systems
- Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems to support test rig setup
- Experience using Dewesoft DASYLab or LabVIEW
- Understanding of risk assessment processes and laboratory safety procedures
- Experience working within aerospace or highly regulated engineering environments
