What were hiring for:
We are seeking a Vice President Finance & Accounting to lead the Companys finance organization reporting directly to the CFO & Co-Founder. The role will oversee accounting FP&A financial reporting and finance operations while strengthening the systems processes and infrastructure needed to support the Companys continued growth. This Vice President will work closely with the CFO and executive leadership team to deliver financial visibility improve operational decision-making and help prepare the Company for future strategic transactions or financing.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with strategic finance capabilities and enjoys building scalable finance operations in a high-growth environment.

What youll be accountable / responsible for in this role:
Finance & Strategic Planning

  • Partner with the CFO and executive team on financial strategy planning and budgeting
  • Oversee development and maintenance of financial models forecasts and scenario analyses
  • Lead preparation of board materials management reporting and performance dashboards
  • Establish KPIs and financial metrics to improve visibility into company performance
  • Assist the CFO with investor reporting financing and strategic transactions

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Own the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting and GAAP financial statements
  • Oversee monthly quarterly and annual close processes
  • Lead core accounting functions including AP AR billing and payroll coordination
  • Manage relationships with auditors tax advisors and external partners
  • Oversee audits tax filings and regulatory reporting
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies

Finance Infrastructure & Systems

  • Strengthen and scale financial infrastructure to support company growth
  • Improve efficiency and reliability of close and reporting processes
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance workflows
  • Lead optimization of ERP planning tools and reporting systems
  • Ensure data integrity and scalable financial reporting frameworks

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Monitor liquidity cash flow forecasting and working capital
  • Manage banking relationships and treasury operations
  • Develop cash management strategies that support operational flexibility

Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team
  • Build scalable processes and a strong operational finance foundation
  • Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Operate as a hands-on player-coach when needed

Success in the First 12 Months

  • Ensure reliable and accurate financial reporting
  • Improve the efficiency and predictability of the monthly close
  • Strengthen financial reporting for executive leadership and the board
  • Enhance financial models and forecasting processes
  • Identify improvements in finance systems data and reporting
  • Develop the finance and accounting team while building scalable processes

What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field required
  • 12 years of progressive experience across finance and accounting
  • Deep understanding of GAAP financial reporting and internal controls
  • Strong financial modeling forecasting and budgeting expertise
  • Leadership experience building and managing both FP&A and accounting operations
  • Experience in fintech SaaS technology or high-growth environments strongly preferred
  • Experience with platforms such as NetSuite Adaptive or similar
  • Strong communication skills for executive and board audiences
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong problem-solving ability
