Job Summary
The OT Float serves as a flexible resource within theInclusive Education departmentto address fine motor sensory processing and functional independence challenges. You will move between assigned schools to conduct evaluations implement treatment plans and provide both direct and consultative services in accordance with studentIndividualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluation & Assessment:Evaluate students referred for services to determine eligibility; analyze physical and mental abilities to set realistic rehabilitation goals.
- IEP Implementation:Develop and implement evidence-based individualized treatment plans that align with specific educational goals and legal requirements.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration:Actively participate in IEP meetings providing professional input on student progress necessary accommodations and environmental modifications.
- Therapeutic Intervention:Deliver direct therapy and consultative support in classrooms to enhance students independence and academic success.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate timely records and progress notes in compliance withWashington stateand district guidelines.
- Adaptive Strategies:Recommend and assist with specialized equipment such as tactile graphics or computer-aided adaptive tools to foster inclusive learning.
