POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Communications and Development Officer the Registrar manages student records enrollment initiatives and recruitment events.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities described herein are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time as necessitated by business demands.
Enrollment
- Manages detailed student data in SIS
- Prepares enrollment process in SIS
- Manages processes and enters data from extensively detailed paperwork including but not limited to residency requirements immunization records birth certificates and transcripts
- Performs clerical tasks such as sending and requesting transcripts for students
- Manages all School App KC responsibilities including the annual lottery and communication and support to families as they navigate the enrollment process
- Attends monthly School App KC Governance Council meetings and represents Brookside Charter School when voting
- Effectively communicates with current and new families about the enrollment process
- Plans and attends recruitment and enrollment events including all Show Me KC Schools events Brookside Charter School enrollment events and at least 6 community events
- Assists with the recruitment of new families through scheduling and leading school tours and preparing recruiting communication and marketing materials
- Manages front office during summer hours
- Performs other duties listed in the Enrollment Playbook

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
*All requirements listed below are required unless otherwise designated as preferred.
Education and Certifications
- High school diploma; college degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible secretarial or registrar experience
- Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position
Skills and Traits
- Ability to pass extensive background check
- Advanced computer and office skills to include accurate document word-processing spreadsheets and slide presentations
- Strong people skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions
- Flawless execution of maintaining confidentiality while handling sensitive and personal information regarding staff and students
- Regular and dependable attendance
- Ability to respond appropriately to common inquiries or complaints from customers regulatory agencies or members of the business community
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to follow internal procedures to ensure internal controls are properly maintained
- Regular and dependable attendance
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with families and students
- Multilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position may require remaining stationary and/or moving for intermittent periods as well as moderate dexterity in operating standard office equipment (e.g. computer printer copier).
- This position requires individuals with a range of visual acuity as well as the ability to communicate with others.
