PIZZA CASHIER JOB SUMMARY
Quickly and efficiently provide friendly customer service in a fast-paced counter-service pizza restaurant by: (1) providing an exceptional customer experience; (2) accurately ringing all sales into the point-of-sale system and processing payments; (3) assisting guests with menu selections and (4) ensuring compliance with all beer and wine service regulations.
PIZZA CASHIER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a positive high well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift
- Have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm professional and accommodating manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter dining area and beverage station
- Take accurate food and beverage orders at the counter and over the phone
- Accurately ring all sales into the point-of-sale system and process cash and credit card transactions
- Serve beer and wine in accordance with company policy and state alcohol regulations
- Assist with light food running and order handoff to guests
- Restock front-of-house items including napkins utensils beverages and to-go supplies
- Exhibit consistently dependable reliable punctual and trustworthy conduct
- Provide exemplary guest service on a consistent basis
- Follow all proper cash handling procedures and guidelines
- Complete any and all assigned cleaning duties including stocking and organization
- Perform all assigned side-work quickly and efficiently
PIZZA CASHIER SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY
- Knowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS system
- Ability to read write and speak the English language to interact with guests the public and coworkers
- Proficient verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud busy and crowded environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction
- Basic mathematical skills
- Knowledge of daily maintenance and cleaning of venue
- Must have knowledge of all required legal documents i.e. A.B.C. Health Department Police City Etc.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Experience
Minimum of one years experience hospitality or customer service preferred
Age
Must be at least 18 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of Tennessee to serve alcoholic beverages because the position will be for an establishment licensed to serve alcohol.
Licenses or Certificates
Food Handlers Card
ABC Server Permit
CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred
GROOMING
All employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Companys grooming standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures
- Must be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employees
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
