Overview

The Senior Project Manager at Vocon plays an integral role in our client delivery model. They are responsible for effectively managing the assigned projects and associated teams as a core member of the project leadership team. They will have an advanced competency in the Senior Project Manager job category. Primary responsibilities include project management from the conception of project proposals to owner occupancy construction documentation production and oversight construction administration and client relationships. They will prepare strategic plans for project success and work closely with client teams to ensure efficiency a strong internal team culture and an exceptional client deliverable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and owning the management of complex medium and large projects.
• Responsible for actively and regularly partnering with project design and technical leaders to execute the project coordinate resources and integrate inputs from inception to completion.
• Participate as a leading project team member in all aspects of the project scope.
• Assist in developing proposals and informing scope & fee as a key participant in project pursuits.
• Creating the Work Plan (including appropriate staffing requirements).
• Developing Project Schedule (aligned with work plan).
• Identifying and contacting the necessary Consultants.
• Responsible for coordinating all administrative design and technical project efforts to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
• Actively manage client budgets schedules and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
• Work with leadership regarding staffing and project planning. Serve as a primary client and consultant contact.
• Manage client expectations and consultant coordination to complete the schedule budgets and scope of work to the clients satisfaction.
• Actively manage project dynamics manage risk and proactively maintain alignment with scope.
• Develop additional service requests when requested work exceeds the contracted scope.
• Monitor the projects financial performance; proactively develop concrete plans to mitigate loss where applicable.
• Work closely with Finance & Accounting to comply with Vocon project delivery standards and execute billing promptly.
• Understands fundamental contract language & concepts.
• Prepare strategic plans for project success.
• Additional responsibilities include contributing to the development of project management standards and best practices.
• Contribute to Vocons evolving project delivery framework focusing on continued improvement.
• Serve as an example of interdisciplinary collaboration and active engagement.

Capabilities

• Specialized strength in management execution knowledge of the full design process competent in all conventional aspects of interior design and/or architecture.
• Ability to resolve complex technical/design issues and provide guidance.
• Thorough knowledge of design and production procedures as well as quality assurance processes.
• Thorough knowledge of contract administration procedures for professional services and consultants.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes standards building construction and project delivery methods.
• Demonstrated experience and success in managing aforementioned procedures and processes.
• Demonstrated success in working with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Ability to supervise responsibilities of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to motivate and supervise the work of others.
• Competent in business writing and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients consultants/contractors staff.
• Must have a strong passion for mentoring and teaching.
• Proficient in applicable PM software including BlueBeam Revu Newforma Clearview.
• Experience with Revit AutoCAD and other project delivery tools paired with the desire for continued learning.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture/Interior Design from an accredited program.
• 8-12 years of commercial architecture/design experience and management experience.
