Job Title:Respiratory Therapist Evenings

Shift: 6PM 6AM
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our growing healthcare team. This role focuses on providing high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients in a residential facility setting. Full-time candidates are preferred with an opening for evening nightshifts (6PM 6AM).
This position offers the opportunity to work with medically fragile children who require transitional long-term and/or palliative care supporting them in achieving the best possible quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care and assessments to residents each shift.
- Participate in care planning and contribute to policy procedure and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with medical transports school sessions and play therapy activities as needed.
- Conduct interdisciplinary education including mock codes and tracheostomy care training for team members and responsible parties.
- Deliver parent/responsible party training and assess their learning needs under supervision.
- Perform routine respiratory treatments equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Engage in daily interaction with residents including conversation play and physical support.
- Participate in facility committees such as Admissions Field Trip and Education Committees.
Qualifications:
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with an active and valid license in Delaware (or ability to obtain).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
- Strong communication skills and ability to conduct oral presentations.
- Interest and experience in pediatric long-term care and children with special needs.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively with residents families staff and community members.
- Commitment to professional values including service excellence leadership integrity and nurturing care.
