The Quality Management Leader is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the global ISO 9001 certification process conducting internal and external audits ensuring the availability of process and work instructions within the Business Management System (BMS) ensure that BMS is easy to navigate managing Quality Function competency developing onboarding training plans and fostering quality communication across all employees. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong change management skills and expertise in quality performance management through KPIs. This role reports to GSI Quality Leader.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

ISO 9001 Certification Process:

Lead the global ISO 9001 certification efforts ensuring compliance across all regions PDGs and Functions.

Align and share audit performance with ESY Quality teams.

Develop and implement strategies to maintain and enhance ISO 9001 standards.

Coordinate with regional PDGs and Functions teams to address any gaps or non-conformities identified during audits.

Drive conduct and register Process and Management Reviews with GSI Functions

Internal and External Audits:

Plan execute and report on internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards. Ensure that GSI Regions and Solution Lines are compliant to the plan.

Liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth and successful certification audits.

Analyze audit findings and drive corrective actions to address any identified issues.

Business Management System (BMS):

Ensure all processes and work instructions are readily available and up-to-date within the BMS for all GSI Segments Functions and PDGs.

Promote the use of the BMS as a central repository for quality-related documentation.

Continuously improve the BMS to enhance usability and effectiveness.

Quality Function Competency Management:

Develop and maintain competency frameworks for the Quality Function.

Identify training needs and facilitate the development of training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Prepare deliver and reinforce Quality Training to other GSI Functions such as GSI Academy training Safety and Quality Footprints

Onboarding Training Plans:

Create comprehensive onboarding training plans for new employees within the Quality Function.

Drive Onboarding training plans for Process and Tools with all GSI Functions. Ensure GSI Functions have an onboarding training plan and make it available for employees at GEV Learning.

Ensure new hires are well-versed in quality standards processes and company expectations.

Regularly review and update onboarding materials to reflect changes in quality practices.

Share Onboarding Training Plans completion with People Leaders to drive completion.

Quality Communication:

Foster a culture of quality across the organization through effective communication strategies.

Develop and deliver quality-related communications to all employees highlighting the importance of quality in daily operations.

Utilize various communication channels (e.g. newsletters town halls GSI Portal) to keep employees informed and engaged.

Zero Defect Framework (ZDF):

Ensure all Regions Functions and Solution Lines complete their annual assessment

Consolidate Assessment to have a GSI view

Ensure all Regions Functions and PDGs are action plans to improve maturity assessment based on GSI Strategy

Implement Governance on ZDF action planning.

Participating in and contribute to works with ESY and GEV Corporate

GSI Quality Performance:

Accountable for Quality KPI reporting and run PSR (Problem Solving Report) when needed (aligned with GEV Lean Culture)

Desired Characteristics:

Change Management:

Proven experience in leading change initiatives within a quality management context.

Ability to inspire and motivate teams through periods of change.

Quality Performance Management (KPIs):

Strong understanding of quality metrics and KPIs.

Ensure GSI Quality Governance for KPIs and action planning (including CoPQ Internal Audits and Zero Defect)

Experience in developing and monitoring quality performance dashboards.

Ability to use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.

Lean Culture and Competency:

Certified Kaizen Facilitation or Team Leader

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Quality Management Engineering Business Administration); Masters degree preferred.

Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.

Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
