Job Summary
Location: Paducah KY
Department: Maintenance Division
Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt 40 Hours per Week (Not to Exceed 9 Months Seasonal Term)
Reports To: MOD Coordinator & Residential Restoration Specialist/Trainer

Do you enjoy fixing things working on a team and seeing the tangible results of your hard work The Housing Authority of Paducah is looking for motivated individuals to join our Maintenance Division as General Laborers / Maintenance Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction and maintenance trades while making a real difference in your community.
In this role you wont just be doing a job; youll be part of a team dedicated to restoring and modernizing homes for families in Paducah. Whether your background is in construction landscaping or youre just a hard worker looking for a career path we want to hear from you!
- Sweeping mopping and clearing debris to prep units for restoration.
- Lending a hand with fixing fixtures appliances drywall and other surfaces.
- Keeping our tools materials and work vehicles organized and ready to go.
- Safely loading unloading and transporting supplies and equipment to and from job sites.
- Handling tasks like changing light bulbs hanging blinds replacing outlet covers and installing basic hardware.
- Always wearing proper safety gear (PPE) and following safety protocols.
- Working alongside experienced technicians and supervisors who are committed to training you.
Requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to bend stoop climb and work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Exposure to construction-related environmental conditions
Work Environment
- Exposure to moderate construction-related risks
- Mechanical electrical chemical and environmental hazards
- Use of required safety gear and protective equipment
Employment Terms
- Seasonal appointment not to exceed nine (9) months
- May require alternate schedules or emergency response
- Work performed under general supervision

Required Skills:
Qualifications Proven experience as a Concrete Foreman (flatwork and structural required). Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a crew efficiently. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans. Knowledge of forming systems finishing techniques and structural concrete practices. Experience with drainage structures and DOT-related work preferred. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Valid drivers license required. Ability to bring an established crew (preferred).
