WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
As a Purchaser Power Transmission you will join the Site Purchasing team supporting local and global procurement activities. You will manage local vendor relationships implement procurement strategies and contribute to category strategy development in alignment with Business Unit and Group practices. You will act as a key interface with the plant manager site management and central purchasing functions ensuring efficient cost-effective and compliant sourcing.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
In this role you will:
- Manage Local Site Purchasing and Vendor Management including RFI/RFQ contracts and continuous improvement plans
- Support category strategy for Business Units ensuring alignment with group practices
- Serve as Level 1 escalation for PSS operations (< 50000) and oversee large purchases (> 250000) in collaboration with Group Purchasing
- Provide reports on purchasing activities and performance to Plant/Site Manager and Group Purchasing
- Implement Nexans processes standard purchasing practices and transversal initiatives
- Identify and mitigate purchasing risks optimize needs and consolidate requirements
- Define supplier panels lead negotiations and manage contracts
- Conduct market analysis establish cost structures and propose alternative solutions
- Contribute to claim mitigation and ensure supplier performance and compliance
YOUR STARTING POINT
- Bachelors degree in relevant field (Engineering Business Supply Chain or similar
- Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing or procurement ideally in industrial or project-driven environments
- Strong negotiation analytical and communication skills
- Fluent in English and Norwegian (oral and written)
- Results-oriented adaptive and collaborative mindset
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Ariba is preferred
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
