Job description

Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To perform general production jobs that may involve repetitive bending pushing twisting pulling lifting and machine operation.
  • Cleaning duties may be assigned including cleaning equipment the facility and washrooms.
  • To perform all duties in a safe manner; comply with safety environmental and quality policies accident prevention and compliance programs.
  • Must have flexibility to work varied shifts; overtime may be required including weekends.
  • Adherence to plant quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • To seek opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives.

Some of the job requirements:

  • 18 years of age.
  • High school degree or equivalent required and will be verified if chosen as the successful candidate.
  • 1 to 3 years of Manufacturing Experience would be an asset
  • Computer Knowledge.
  • Able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision.
  • Must have open availability for the length of the employment contract.
  • Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities (problem solving teams training shift handover meetings to name a few)
  • Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements

  • Consistently provide ideas opinions or information in an articulate professional way.
  • Willingness and ability to adjust to changing conditions or priorities
  • Take the initiative to identify and act on problems and lead by example.
