We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs.
This sessional role at Change Grow Live Kettering places you at the heart of a dynamic multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping people build healthier more fulfilling lives. Youll guide service users throughout their treatment and recovery journey. Your work will include carrying out screenings and assessments delivering psychosocial interventions creating meaningful recovery plans and linking people with the right ongoing support.
Youll play a key part in reducing the harms associated with drug and alcohol useboth for individuals and the wider communitywhile championing the voices of service users carers and local partners. Advocacy is central to the role ensuring people can access the services they need when they need them.
Above all youll work alongside service users to help them reconnect with their communities develop resilience embrace peer support and take confident steps toward leading purposeful selfdirected lives.

- Effective Communication able to engage service users with empathy clarity and respect; skilled in motivational and strengthsbased conversations.
- Assessment & Screening Skills confident in conducting initial assessments risk assessments and ongoing reviews to inform recovery planning.
- Delivering Psychosocial Interventions able to provide evidencebased interventions such as brief advice harmreduction support and structured sessions.
- Recovery Planning & Case Management skilled in creating collaborative personcentred plans and coordinating multi-agency support.
- Advocacy & Partnership Working able to champion service users needs and work effectively with health social care and community partners.
- Harm Reduction Expertise knowledgeable in practical strategies that minimise drug- and alcoholrelated harm for individuals and communities.
- Safeguarding Awareness understanding of safeguarding principles and the ability to identify respond to and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Record Keeping & Information Management accurate documentation skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and data quality.
- Cultural Competence respectful inclusive and sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of service users.
- Resilience & Emotional Intelligence able to remain calm professional and supportive in challenging situations.
- Teamwork & Collaboration comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to shared goals.
- ProblemSolving & Critical Thinking able to assess needs explore solutions and make informed decisions quickly.
- Community Engagement able to encourage involvement from carers peers and community groups to support sustainable recovery.
- Professional Boundaries & Ethics consistently maintains safe appropriate boundaries and adheres to organisational values.
About you:
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
- Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
- Be an excellent communicator both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions services and good practice
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals agencies and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
- Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
