Job Summary
Job Summary: Herb Connolly Chevrolet is looking for a Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive and some experience doing light mechanical work and fluid exchanges on cars. The day-to-day duties of this role include lube oil and filter changes rotating tires and other light maintenance work (wiper blades air filters). The right candidate has a desire to continue to progress and learn as a technician to advance onto larger maintenance repairs and ultimately diagnostics. We are looking for individuals that want to learn and grow and turn this into a career. We will provide master technician mentors and all training necessary to one day become aMaster Technician. Join our team grow with us and find a way to earn over $100000 one day. Sign on bonus of up to $2500 available for the right candidates with proper certifications and/or experience.

Responsibilities
- Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
- Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
- Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
- Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation clean and lubricate fittings as needed
- Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
- Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicles breakdown or damage
- Use power tools machine tools and common hand tools to perform various tasks
Qualifications
- Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
- One year in a service department
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
