Position Summary

TheSAPSecurityLead is responsible for defining implementing and governingSAPsecurityand authorization strategies across theSAPlandscape. This role ensures secure compliant and scalable access controls while enabling business operations acrossSAPS/4HANA and integrated platforms. TheSAPSecurityLead partners closely withSAPfunctional teams IT audit and business stakeholders to balance risk compliance and operational efficiency.

This role serves as theprimary authority forSAPsecuritydesign role governance and access controls providing leadership across implementations upgrades and ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

SAPSecurityStrategy & Governance

• Define and maintainSAPsecurityarchitecture standards and best practices acrossSAPsystems (S/4HANASAPPublic Cloud Fiori BTP IBP GRC).
• Establish and enforce role design principles aligned toleast-privilegeandsegregation of duties (SoD)requirements.
• OwnSAPsecuritygovernance processes including access request workflows role approvals emergency access and periodic access reviews.
• Serve as theSAPsecurityescalation point for risk assessments audit findings andsecurityincidents.

Role Design & Authorization Management

• Lead the design build and maintenance ofSAProles profiles and authorization objects.
• Oversee SU24 proposal management and authorization object maintenance.
• Ensure consistent role design across transactions Fiori apps and business catalogs.
• Manage user provisioning deprovisioning and access changes in alignment with HR and IT processes.

Compliance Audit & Risk Management

• Partner with Internal Audit Compliance and Risk teams to support audits (SOX ITGC and regulatory reviews).
• Perform and remediate SoD analysis and access risk findings usingSAPGRC or equivalent tooling.
• EnsureSAPsecuritycontrols meet corporatesecuritypolicies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation and evidence required for audits and control testing.

Program & Project Support

• LeadSAPsecurityactivities forSAPimplementations upgrades rollouts and integrations.
• Collaborate withSAPfunctional leads developers and architects to ensuresecurityis embedded into solution design.
• Assesssecurityimpacts of newSAPfunctionality custom developments and integrations.
• Provide guidance on secure design for custom transactions reports workflows and interfaces.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) forSAPsecurityacross the organization.
• Mentor and guideSAPsecurityanalysts and administrators.
• MonitorSAPsecurityinnovations and recommend improvements to tools processes and controls.
• Drive automation and efficiency in access management and compliance processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8 years of hands-onSAPsecurityexperience including role and authorization design.
• Strong expertise inSAPS/4HANAsecurity including Fiori and business role concepts.
• Proven experience withSAPauthorization objects SU24 PFCG and user administration.
• Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives (SOX ITGC).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complexsecurityconcepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withSAPGRC Access Control(ARA ARM EAM).
• Knowledge ofSAPBTPsecurityand integrationsecurityconcepts.
• Experience in large-scaleSAPtransformations or S/4HANA conversions.
• SAPSecurityor GRC certifications.
• Retail manufacturing or supply chainSAPexperience.
