The Department of Dermatology University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for tenured tenure earning and non-tenure earning faculty positions in General/Medical Dermatology and Mohs Surgery. Academic rank will reflect the qualifications of the successful applicant. The candidate should have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. Applicants should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology and be able to obtain an Alabama medical license and DEA . General/Medical Dermatology: Clinical responsibilities will include provision of outpatient clinic services inpatient consultations and supervision of residents and medical students. Candidates must have an Alabama medical license and DEA prior to appointment. Mohs Surgery: Applicants should be fellowship trained in Mohs Surgery. Clinical responsibilities will include provision of outpatient clinic services; inpatient consultations; and supervision of residents and medical students. A strong interest in teaching clinical and/or basic research is desirable. Candidates must have strong clinical knowledge excellent communication skills be highly motivated and compassionate towards all patients. Applicants should be fellowship trained in Mohs Surgery.
