Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Leader in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a tech and/or telecom location.
- Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization managing visitor check-in and directing deliveries and contractors according to site requirements.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including escalating notifications and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings equipment areas parking areas and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor cameras alarms and other building systems for unusual activity document observations and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Be 21 years of age.
- DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
- A Law Enforcement Officer License is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
