Senior Laboratory Equipment Representative

The Senior Laboratory Equipment Representative (LER) is responsible for driving revenue growth and enhancing customer success across an assigned territory by developing and executing a focused strategic sales plan. This plan targets key accounts cultivates new business opportunities and builds long-term partnerships in Alberta British Columbia Saskatchewan and Manitoba (CAN.)
As a trusted advisor the LER identifies and addresses customer needs track market trends and competitive activity and delivers differentiated customer-focused solutions in collaboration with internal specialist and channel partners. The role demands strong commercial acumen including disciplined pipeline management accurate forecasting pricing and margin stewardship and consistent execution against annual growth targets.
Through a consultative sales approach deep product expertise and effective product demonstrations and training the LER fosters strong lasting customer relationships. Leveraging CRM systems structured business processes the LER proactively manages opportunities and drives successful deal closures.
Operating with high degree of autonomy accountability and urgency the LER consistently delivers results adapts to evolving market conditions and exemplifies Thermo Fisher Scientifics 4I Values in every customer engagement.
Education:
- Bachelors degree required preference field of study in Life Sciences Stem Business or related field
Experience:
- 5 years of high-performance field sales experience in laboratory or capital equipment markets
- Consistent track record of exceeding revenue goals and expanding territory pipeline
- Demonstrated success selling complex capital equipment solutions within regulated environments
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Proven ability to build strategic territory plans that convert opportunities into revenue growth
- Strong consultative approach with expertise in uncovering needs articulating value and winning competitive deals
- Solid business and financial acumen including pricing discipline margin focus and accurate forecasting
- Deep understanding of laboratory workflows and competitive positioning strategies
- Effective cross-functional collaborator driving coordinated customer solutions
- Proficient in Salesforce and digital business technologies
- Willing and able to travel 50-75% to achieve business objectives
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory
- Fluency in English required additional languages beneficial
- Operated with high autonomy adaptability and commitment to Thermo Fishers 4I Values
