Shipping/Receiving Operator Experienced
Bedford PA
1st shift: 7am - 3pm (M-F)
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Acts as an experienced operator within a warehouse: Receives tracks materials resolves issues as related to tasks trains entry level operators inventories stock pulls picks and ships orders.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general equivalent diploma
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
- Valid Drivers License
- Does not require vocational training nor a university degree.
- Works with clearly defined / sometimes ambiguous methods and tasks that are described in detail.
- Contributes directly to specific unskilled tasks or processes.
- Has some discretion to vary from established procedures with supervision input.
- Contributes indirectly to specific unskilled tasks or processes.
KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Successfully demonstrate all Level 1 tasks.
- Execute final packaging and distribution of products to appropriate destinations.
- Receive material from external operations in SAP.
- Follow instructions on delivery notes for shipments to distribution centers and customers.
- Independently packs orders for shipment.
- Receives daily products from stock transfers and outside vendors.
- Re-orders supplies such as boxes bags labels and packing tubes.
- Works with planners to resolve shipping or receiving issues.
- Performs tasks with little to sometimes moderate supervision.
- Maintains / completes certifications.
- Performs transactions / resolves transaction discrepancies in the SAP / ERP system required to process material movements.
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring workplace organization programs (5S EHS) are adhered to for the assigned area.
- Typically performs unskilled or semi-skilled work.
- Typically works autonomously.
