ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Avionics Systems Engineer I youll play a critical role in designing integrating and verifying avionics and electrical systems for cutting-edge spacecraft projects. This is your chance to work on missions that are out of this world - literally.

WHAT YOULL DO:

  • Assist in designing electrical architectures and maintaining technical budgets (power mass data).
  • Develop high-reliability electrical harnesses for flight and test environments.
  • Build and maintain integrated test setups including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.
  • Define and execute subsystem and system-level test procedures to ensure mission success.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve interface conflicts and develop integrated solutions.
  • Support environmental testing (Thermal Vacuum Vibration) and troubleshoot avionics systems in real-time.

WHAT YOULL BRING:

Essential:

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics Aerospace Engineering or related field.
    • 0-2 years of experience in hardware development or electronics testing (internships and student projects count!).
    • Proficiency in electronics principles: power distribution signal integrity and grounding architectures.
    • Familiarity with communication protocols (RS-422 CAN bus SPI Ethernet I2C).
    • Hands-on experience with instrumentation like oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers and sensors.
    • Programming/scripting skills (Python preferred) for test automation and data analysis.

Nice to Have:

    • Experience designing and building flight-representative electrical harnesses.
    • Knowledge of eCAD/mCAD software (Altium Siemens NX or similar).
    • Understanding of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time data acquisition
