Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. You will be responsible for architecting and managing enterprise-scale Azure environments implementing infrastructure as code and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud solutions. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management
Design implement and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual networks compute resources storage solutions and security services
Develop and maintain hub-and-spoke network topologies with proper segmentation and connectivity
Implement and manage Azure landing zones following Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework best practices
Configure and maintain Azure ExpressRoute VPN gateways and hybrid connectivity solutions

Automation & DevOps
Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform ARM templates or Bicep
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Automate routine operational tasks and implement self-service capabilities
Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure standards and procedures

Security & Compliance
Implement Azure security best practices including Azure Policy RBAC and Privileged Identity Management
Configure and maintain Azure Security Center Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Sentinel
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability management

Backup & Disaster Recovery
Design and implement backup strategies using Azure Backup and Recovery Services Vaults
Configure Azure Site Recovery for disaster recovery scenarios
Develop and test business continuity plans
Maintain RPO/RTO targets for critical workloads

Monitoring & Optimization
Implement monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor Log Analytics and Application Insights
Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance
Conduct capacity planning and resource forecasting
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across Azure services

Collaboration & Support
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Participate in on-call rotation for production support
Collaborate on cloud migration projects and application modernization initiatives

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills
3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts (VNets NSGs Azure Firewall Application Gateway Load Balancers)
Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform ARM templates or Bicep)
Experience with Azure DevOps GitHub or similar CI/CD platforms
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell Python or Bash
Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes AKS)
Knowledge of Azure Active Directory identity management and security best practices

Certifications (Preferred)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (plus)

Professional Skills
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Experience
Enterprise-scale Azure deployments with multi-region architectures
Azure migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms
Integration experience with enterprise systems (ServiceNow monitoring tools ITSM platforms)
Knowledge of Azure governance frameworks and cost management
