Job Summary

The Mother/Baby Nurse Manager is responsible for the strategic and daily operational success of the unit. You will serve as a vital link between leadership and frontline staff driving policies that prioritize patient safety and clinical excellence during the critical postpartum period.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Plan organize and staff the unit to ensure 24/7 operational effectiveness.
Policy Development: Collaborate on evidence-based plans and procedures to streamline quality care.
Team Management: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to a tenured nursing staff fostering a culture of respect and accountability.
Resource Management: Oversee budgeting staffing levels and performance evaluations to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree (BSN) required; Masters preferred
Licensure: Current Georgia RN License or Compact/Multi-State License
Experience:
- 3 years recent RN experience in Womens Services (Postpartum/Mother-Baby) in acute care
- 1 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage experienced nursing teams
Certifications:
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be obtained within 6 months if not currently held
