We are seeking a Senior Auditor - SOX Business with experience in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and operational auditing to join eBays Global Internal Audit team located in Bengaluru position is hybrid requiring physical attendance at least three days each week.
In this role you will provide assurance as to the effectiveness of internal controls within assigned business areas. You will collaborate with global audit team members and business partners across different time zones. Your work includes performing control testing and successfully executing eBays global SOX program.
This position reports to the Audit and SOX Associate Manager and plays a key role in improving audit performance and partnership across our global Internal Audit organization.
The ideal candidate is analytical diligent and collaborative with a strong sense of ownership and a desire to contribute beyond meeting requirements.
What you will accomplish:
Coordinate the design assessment of in-scope processes by leading walkthroughs and facilitating the identification and documentation of key controls with key business partners
Take part in the testing of key controls key reports/spreadsheets alongside co-sourced service providers
Review attestation/audit reports (e.g. SOC Internal Audit) to determine SOX relevance of key findings
Collaborate with process and control owners to evaluate the impact of identified deficiencies and support remediation efforts/process and control improvements
Proactively identify and monitor process and system changes resulting from eBays strategic objectives
Participate in SOX readiness audits and other activities for new areas
Leverage data visualization techniques to prepare reports for senior management detailing the status of the program and highlighting key trends and risks
Support the departments continuous improvement efforts by finding opportunities to automate control activities and related testing procedures. This includes applying analytics and AI across in-scope processes.
Maintain current with emerging accounting standards and provide technical mentorship commensurate with experience to key partners
What you will bring:
Required
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
4 years of experience performing SOX compliance and/or operational audits with an emphasis on financial reporting
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and knowledge of legal regulatory and industry requirements
Preferred
Big 4 accounting firm experience
Relevant professional certification (e.g. CPA CA CIA CISA)
SAP ERP experience
Understanding of eCommerce and FinTech industries and global payment processing practices
