Job Description

The Summit Health Social Media internsupports the marketing and clinical operations team by managing creating and scheduling content across platforms like Instagram Facebook and TikTok with a goal of increased patient engagement and attracting new patients to the Summit Health practice.

Key responsibilities of this intern will include building and maintaining a regular social media schedule for the Plastic Surgery and Dermatology department social pages planning and capturing video content at our medical offices and crafting a series of weekly posts to boost brand awareness and engagement metrics for these pages. Ideal candidates are creative detail-oriented students proficient in social media trends and tools like Canva.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Scheduling:Developing and posting creative content (videos graphics captions) according to a content calendar.
• Social Engagement:Responding to comments/DMs and engaging with followers to increase brand presence.
• Strategy & Analytics:Assisting in brainstorming campaign ideas and analyzing engagement metrics to report on performance.
• Trend Research:Staying up-to-date with current industry trends and social media best practices.

We ideally need this candidate to be available a minimum of 12-14 hours per week with one day spend filming/creating video content for the department social pages via iphone or other smartphone device.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate in Marketing Communication Advertising or a related field.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram Facebook Tiktok).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience withdesign tools (e.g. Canva Adobe Creative Cloud) and scheduling tools (e.g. Meta Hootsuite) is a plus.
• Highly organized proactive and creative.
