Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed High-Rise Patrol in Charleston SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to incidents and alarms control access as needed and document observations with clear communication and professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a government location by following post orders site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities while assigned to an armed patrol post.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting actions taken and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization as required monitoring entry points and reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
- Complete accurate reports and logs including patrol activity incident documentation and shift turnover communication using required systems and/or forms.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement military and/or corrections experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
