Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Roving Driver in Torrance CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. You will conduct routine patrols across the property maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents assist with access control and visitor interactions and document observations for the site team. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas tank farm and/or dock areas administrative buildings and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Control access at gates and/or designated entry points by verifying identification processing visitor check-in and/or vehicle entry and directing drivers and contractors to approved routes and staging areas per site procedures.
- Complete detailed shift documentation such as patrol logs incident reports and gate activity records and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
