Job Summary

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY:

Responsible for dailycleaningof MAHECfacilities to includeclinicaladministrativeand educational areas including exam rooms procedure and ultrasound rooms labsrestroomsand offices.This is a second shift position with hours from 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday through Friday.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All duties necessary toprovideroutine scheduled cleaningservices.Dutiesinclude but are not limitedto:

  • sweeping and mopping all exam rooms labs procedureroomsandultrasound rooms every night vacuuming mopping sweeping dusting cleaning restrooms carpet cleaningandall other cleaning activities as assigned.

  • Inventory and stock supply closets from MAHEC supplies informing supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.

  • Provides backup for other MAHEC housekeepers as needed and as assigned by Supervisor to include occasionalovertimeand weekend work.

  • Classroom set-ups as requested

  • Changingbatteriesand other light maintenance as.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

PreferredExperience.

  • Twoyears experiencein commercial cleaning withexperience inmedical office conferencecenteroreducational facilities.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid drivers license requiredin order todrive MAHEC vehicle to transport equipmentand suppliesfor use at all MAHEC sites as well as other errands as needed.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Ability to useemailsystem for organizational communication.

  • Ability to use calendar and scheduling systems to access and coordinate with organizational schedules for eventsother planning purposespreferred.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Spanish language skillsa plus.

PHYSICALDEMANDS:

  • Stands walks uses hands and arms to reach handles and feel talks and listens on a frequent basis.Occasionally stoops kneels or crawls.Sometimessitsclimbs orbalances.

  • Ability to lift40pounds on a regular basis.

  • Ability tooperateall tools & equipment needed for housekeeping.

WORKENVIRONMENT:

  • Works with cleaning chemicals on a regular basis.

  • Sometimes exposed to outdoor weather conditions as related to emptying trash andmaintainingsafe walkways during icy conditions.

  • Moderate noise level typical of a busy office with foot traffic and office machinery.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Must have the ability to follow instructionsand to respond positively to communicationsregardingrequired corrective actions asidentifiedby supervisor or others responsible for ensuring ahigh qualityexperience for MAHEC customers at all times.

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently independent of direct supervision(i.e. must organize own time toaccomplishall assigned & scheduled duties must plan daily cleaning schedule around use of classrooms).

Reports toHousekeepingTeamSupervisor

May receive direction from Facilities Services Coordinator or Assistant Facilities Manager

POSITION COMPENSATION:

$19.13/hour full time full benefits available
