Paper Mill Shift Supervisor

Sofidel America a global leader in the production of tissue products for domestic and hygienic use is committed to sustainability innovation and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a Paper Mill Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations in our paper production department.

This roleis responsible foroverseeing paper mill personnel managing production efficiency ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards andmaintainingequipment performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and a hands-on approach to team development and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise paper mill operations during assigned shifts to ensure safe efficient and high-quality production
Lead and develop team members promoting a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement
Conduct daily safety talks and enforce safety protocols including PPE compliance Lockout/Tagout Confined Space Entry and chemical handling procedures
Monitor production schedules and coordinate resources to meet or exceed shift targets
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain product quality
Ensure proper documentation of production data incidents and equipment maintenance activities
Maintain effective communication between shifts and with other departments including maintenance quality and logistics
Address staffing needs support employee training and participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary

Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in a paper mill or related industrial manufacturing environment
At least 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferably in a union or shift-based operation
Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of pulp and paper production processes
Excellent leadership communication and decision-making skills
Familiarity with quality control systems and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with maintenance systems such as JD Edwards is a plus
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise heat and industrial equipment
Regular standing walking and climbing required
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory
