Job Summary

Description

Responsible for effective and efficient maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and maintenance/repair of all equipment within Utility Plant. Be proficient with the use and knowledge of test equipment for troubleshooting and testing electrical devices. Utilize appropriate and effective technical skills to provide leadership and ensure safety when troubleshooting medium / high voltage generation and distribution system equipment including rotating machinery circuit protection metering and switching devices. Assists and provides insight and direction to supervisor in association with electrical system operation and maintenance. Also provides technical assistance to coordinate the work of others when acting as lead. Occasional shift coverage is required to cover absences of shift operators.



Qualifications

High school education or equivalent Master or Journeyman Electrician License. Prefer a 2-year electrical trade school degree and experience within an industrial commercial / utility plant environment. A Second Class A Boiler license is also preferred. A Master Electrician License or Journeyman CLS A Electrical License. Experience with preventative maintenance programs mechanical aptitude working around pumps fans motors and related utility plant equipment.
