Saint Augustine of Boyne Falls

Employment Type: Part-time

Location: Boyne Falls MI

Primary Function:
To keep all areas of the church clean and presentable. Also to work with Maintenance personnel to complete larger jobs that need more attention or outside assistance.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
Vacuum all areas of the church. Clean wood and vinyl floors.
Clean all windows and door glass as necessary.
Clean parish hall including waxing and stripping floors
Clean kitchen area
Clean Gathering space
Clean pews twice a year.
Dust and clean all surfaces inside the church.

Specific Responsibilities:
Clean all bathrooms damp mop bathroom floors.
Check all plant areas and water plants keep free of debris. - Seasonal
Empty all trash cans in bathrooms sacristy hall and kitchen.
Clean wax from candle holders change and clean wax in votive candles. Replace large candles. Clean wax spills on carpet with wax removal cleaner.
Clean holy water basins with white vinegar. Refill basins as needed.
Clean all brass with proper cleaner i.e. candle holders etc.
Launder rags and mop heads
Make sure floors in between pews are cleaned and mopped.
Mop and clean sanctuary
Clean choir area
Other responsibilities as assigned
Cleaning walk ways and watering grass

Qualifications:
Must be physically able to lift bend stoop climb and reach. Some cleaning experience preferred. Ability to keep all areas of the church orderly and clean in the allotted time.
