Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team in the execution of studies following the mission engineering process. Work with the mission characterization architecture and constructive analysis teams to execute the activities develop the products and synthesize results that answer Key Questions and meet evolving Joint mission objectives. This position will be 100% onsite in the Alexandria Virginia area with the possibility of local travel to customer sites and related engineering conferences/workshops.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
Development of study scope Key Questions partnering organizations external teaming opportunities and execution plans.
Understand complex scenarios vignettes CONOPs CONEMPs measure derivation and system-of-systems interactions to assist the teams overall knowledge base and inform leadership.
Understand Mission Architecture inputs development implementation and connections to CONOPs CONEMPs and mission-level modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts for the system-of-systems architectures being constructed.
Understanding of mission-level analysis objectives tools limitations constraints and how data and architectures feed M&S activities.
Track progress solve problems identify risks develop mitigations maintain information flow to team and leadership.
Develop Kickoff IPR and Final briefings along with Study final products.
Synthesize raw analytical products into impactful conclusions and recommendations for senior government leadership.

Qualifications:
Required:
7 years of experience in operations research with a focus on mission engineering systems engineering or operational analysis.
5 years of experience conducting operational or mission analysis and trade-off studies to inform decision-making for capability development system design technology investments or maturation of concepts of operations (CONOPS) or concepts of employment (CONEMPS).
5 years of experience in a leadership or deputy role managing cross-functional teams in analyzing complex engineering and operational problems.
5 years of demonstrated experience in communicating complex technical findings to senior leadership technical or operational experts and non-technical stakeholders.
3 years of demonstrated experience in developing and executing terms of references for analyses or studies; analyzing mission architectures/threads; understanding the use of mission modeling tools (e.g. CAMEO AFSIM); interpreting M&S outputs; or preparing briefings and strategic recommendations for decision makers.
3 years of experience working with Joint Staff Combatant Commands Military Services Intelligence Community or Office of Secretary of Defense organizations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment; present and explain technical information to colleagues management or sponsors.
Knowledge or recent experience integrating systems processes and/or software development methodologies planning designing and analyzing functional system processes - either hardware or software-based systems.
Demonstrated ability to devise solutions for complex problems that require in-depth analysis of tangible and intangible factors.
Proven ability to analyze complex issues within a diverse team and effectively present findings and solutions to stakeholders.
Desired:
Experience developing system solutions to complex and challenging DoD problems.
Experience planning and executing complex mission and systems analysis efforts.
Experience conducting systems engineering tasks including Technology Analysis and Assessment System Definition Systems Analysis Systems Architecture development and architecture products operational analysis and Logistics support of DoW systems.
Expert in assessing threat kill chains operations and identifying exploitable vulnerabilities analyzing mission threads and blue force system kill chains to identify capability gaps and solutions developing system models constructing and executing simulation and analysis plans conducting trade studies and sensitivity analysis interpreting and synthesizing results and translating them into concise and comprehensive artifacts for documenting and communicating to multiple audiences.
Experience leading teams in the planning and execution of complex mission and system analysis efforts.
Experience interfacing with Joint Staff Services and warfighters to coordinate engineering and analysis needs and analytic results.
Expert-level experience in one or more of the following areas: JADC2; C2BMC; Long-Range Fires; Space Operations; Position Navigation and Timing; Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations; or ISR.

Basic Compensation:
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus relocation benefits short term incentives long term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
