Position Summary

Bartenders will lead tastingsof Abita beer pour beers in the Tap Room work the retail area operate thehigh-speed growler filling station work the floor and greet guests at thedoor. Bartenders are the Brand Ambassadors of a leading craft beer brandand standards of job performance and professionalism are set people skills inherent enthusiasm and the ability to make eachvisitor feel special is an essential factor in day-to-day operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Serve our guests exceeding expectations whilepracticing safe service of alcohol.

Keeping the bar clean and organized includingrestocking and replenishing supplies

Communicating effectively with other staffmembers and management to ensure smooth bar operations

Pouring beers changing kegs cleaningglassware maintaining draft systems etc.

Providing informative tastings in the Tap Roomwith knowledge of all beers and products.

Answer phones and provide answers or directionsto the various guest questions.

Merchandise/beer stocking and maintenance.

Selling merchandise and beer at the Tap Roomsretail center.

Greeting visitors to the brewery checking IDsand maintaining accurate counts of guests in the building.

Opportunities to work additional hours atperiodic Abita promotional and off-site events.

Ability toperform all functions of the Tap Room.

Position requiresprolonged standing bending stooping twisting and lifting products andsupplies weighing 65 pounds and repetitive hand and wrist motion.

Work with officeequipment such as computers phones fax machines and copiers.

Use of proper PPEis required and provided.

Education/Qualifications

High SchoolDiploma or GED.

Must be 21 yearsof age.

Service Industryexperience is a plus not required.

Basic knowledgeof computers (Word Excel Outlook).

Possess good oraland written communication skills for dealing with diverse guests.

Must possess avalid state or federal ID.

Must be eligibleto work in the United States.
