Job Summary
This is a temporary part-time position. The shifts for this role are Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST.
This position is responsible for managing inventory coordinating room assignments and ensuring optimal operations across assigned properties. The Rooms Controller works closely with on-property teams to uphold service standards streamline communication and maximize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage room inventory and execute daily room assignments for designated properties
- Coordinate closely with front office housekeeping and sales departments to ensure accurate room blocking and guest accommodation
- Monitor special requests VIP arrivals and group room blocks to ensure proper execution
- Analyze occupancy trends and adjust room assignments to support operational goals
- Maintain consistent communication with on-property teams and APRC leadership
- Accurately document daily activity and deliverables in internal systems
- Identify and escalate operational issues and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or a related field required or minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a business-related role (e.g. hotel operations inventory management business analytics or customer service)
- Strong organizational analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity
- Flexibility to support weekend and holiday coverage as needed
